Post6

This is the Natchez Trace Parkway.

It had an awesome view.

These are some strange plants they had.

This is one hungry bee.

We went to the Loveless Cafe.  The food was really good and they had the best biscuits ever!

The Loveless Cafe was featured in an episode of Unwrapped with Marc Somers.

From the menu:
The Loveless Cafe and Motel first started serving its famous fried chicken and biscuits in 1951 when Lon and Annie Loveless served it right out their front door to travelers on Highway 100.

They had a window looking into the kitchen where you could see them making the biscuits.

Carol Fay, the "Biscuit Lady" from the Loveless was featured on an episode of Throwdown with Bobby Flay

These are the finished product.   yum, yum...

This is the best jam ever!!! It is homemade. We enjoyed strawberry, blackberry and peach.

I had never had fried green tomatoes or fried okra.

Ha ha they seem to have these face cutouts everywhere out here.

Just a passing train.

Kind of a weird effect, but oh well.

I miss our little kitty :(.  This one was sunning himself at the Carter House - A home caught in the center of The Battle of Franklin and used as the federal command post during the Civil War.)  see carter-house.org
